WHY Write It Forward A-TEAM WORKSHOP?

Following a Saturday Write It Forward Presentation to a large group, this follow-up workshop is limited in size to ensure excellent feedback to participants. The morning will be spent on idea and conflict lock, which focuses your writing. The afternoon will cover key areas of Write It Forward such as developing career goals that are in-line with each individual author and uncovering blind spots and fears and how to overcome them. This workshop takes the best of the other two workshop (Write It Forward/Writers Workshop) and focuses them into one day.

How do we accomplish this?

  • We mine your material for your one-sentence idea.
  • Ensure your story has a core conflict lock, the enssense of a novel, identifying protagonist, antagoinst, goals and conflicts.
  • We will look at strategic and tactical goals for your writing career, both creatively and reference the publishing business.>
  • We uncover your writing fears and examine how to build courage to overcome them.
  • We will look at your platform, marketing and character flow for flaws, how to correct them, and build on strength.

Regardless whether you've finished your novel, are just getting started, or haven't yet placed pen to page, this Write It Forward A-Team Workshop can make the most of your idea, talent, and time. The tenets of Write It Forward will benefit you beyond being an author—they are principles you can use in your day to day life.

Prior to the workshop you will receive copies of THE NOVEL WRITERS TOOKKIT, Write It Forward: FROM WRITER TO PUBLISHED AUTHOR, and a personal submission critique on your cover letter, synopsis, and first ten pages--over $125 in value alone

Participant Testimonials

"Coming to this workshop, I already knew that I needed to change if I was going to get back into the game. But I was scared to delve into those questions — afraid I wouldn't be able to come up with any answers. Afraid the answers might prove that I just don't have what it takes to make it in this business. Instead, I realized that facing my fears and making these changes were more about my life, not just my publishing career. I love how this workshop is not the typical "just do it" motivational pep-talk. I love that the motivation is there in Bob's own words that he's been through this, just like us." Sue P.

I believe Write It Forward is a step onto that next level, because it is so damn easy to let myself get sidetracked. That sustained action. I'm not like Bob or Margaret, where once that decision's been made it's locomotion–full head of steam with nothing stopping them from their single-minded forward motion. I do – emphasis on me here – let other things, other people's priorities get in my way. And Write It Forward reminds me – pushes the point home – that in order to get where I want to be, I need to remember the WHO in Who Dares Wins. Pam S.
